Bruce Arroll was invited to join as a guest on the National HIP and Health Coach Hui Meeting. Dr. Bruce Arroll presented on the implementation and effectiveness of Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for treating PTSD among clients at Auckland City Mission, highlighting its accessibility for non-psychologists and the importance of proper training, with Marama and other participants clarifying that formal training is necessary before applying the methodology. The discussion addressed both the positive impact of WET in providing in-house trauma support and the challenges of client engagement, literacy barriers, and the need for supervision and sensitivity when working with trauma survivors.
